Privacy policy
This policy covers two separate things: this website, and the TabSaver browser extension. Neither of them collects data about you.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR:
Kerem Sinecek
10117 Berlin
Germany
Email: info@kstaq.de
2. The TabSaver extension
The extension transmits no data. Everything it stores stays on the device it is installed on.
What is processed
When you save a session, TabSaver records the following for every tab in the current window:
- the full URL,
- the page title,
- the address of the favicon,
- whether the tab is pinned,
- the position of the tab within the window,
along with the session name you choose and the time it was saved. This only happens when you actively click “Save session”. TabSaver does not observe browsing behaviour, does not run in the background and does not read page content.
Where it is stored
All data is written through the browser interface chrome.storage.local, a storage area on your own device. Sync storage (chrome.storage.sync) is explicitly not used, so nothing is synchronised between devices through a Google account.
Because this data never reaches us, there is no processing by the controller to base on a legal ground, and we cannot access, export or delete it on your behalf. You remain in full control of it inside the extension.
Sharing
None takes place. The extension
- makes no network connections,
- requests no host permissions,
- loads no external scripts, stylesheets or fonts — the Inter typeface ships inside the package,
- contains no analytics, tracking or advertising components,
- requires no account and no sign-in.
Permissions
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
tabs | Read title, URL, favicon and pinned state of open tabs so they can be saved |
storage | Keep saved sessions locally |
Deletion
Individual sessions can be deleted inside the extension. Uninstalling TabSaver via chrome://extensions makes the browser remove its local storage entirely, along with every saved session.
3. This website
tabsaver.kstaq.de is a static page. It sets no cookies, embeds no third-party content, and runs no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising scripts. There is no contact form and no newsletter, so there is nothing for you to submit.
Hosting and server log files
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, acting as a processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Delivering any web page requires a server, and that server automatically records technical data in log files:
- the requested page or file,
- browser type and version, and the operating system,
- the referring URL,
- date and time of the request,
- the IP address of the requesting device.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in delivering the site reliably and in defending against attacks. This data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify you.
Transfer to the United States
Vercel Inc. is based in the United States and operates a global edge network, so the technical data described above may be processed outside the European Union — including in the USA, a third country within the meaning of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 therefore provides the basis for the transfer under Art. 45 GDPR. In addition, Vercel Inc. offers the standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR in its data processing agreement.
You should nevertheless be aware that United States authorities may have access rights to data held by US providers that go beyond what EU law would permit, and that enforcing your rights against a US recipient can be more difficult in practice.
Fonts
The Inter typeface is served from this domain. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font CDN is made, so your IP address is not passed to a third party for that purpose.
Links to third parties
Links to the Chrome Web Store and to kstaq.de leave this site. Once you follow them, the privacy policy of the respective operator applies. We have no influence over their processing.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15),
- rectification (Art. 16),
- erasure (Art. 17),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21), and
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). For the controller named above this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, but you may also complain to the authority where you live.
To exercise any of these, write to info@kstaq.de. Please note that sessions saved in the extension are stored solely on your own device — they are not accessible to us, so a request for access or erasure cannot cover them. You can delete them yourself at any time inside the extension.
5. Changes to this policy
This policy is updated whenever the site or the extension changes in a way that affects it. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
